#20: Wild Thang Hairstyle with Shaved Sides for Punks

“Conversely, if it’s something you’d like to keep long term, you will need to sit and have your color done and the pattern painted back on at each haircut, or possibly every other, depending on how much of the pattern is cut out,” she adds.

A pompadour mohawk was created by stylist Lindsay Wolf of Portland, OR. “The punk style features lots of height built up from the front all the way to the nape of the neck, with each side buzzed,” explains Wolf.

If you’re considering punk hair styles like this, it’s ideal for women with a strong bone structure and an oval face shape. “This punk hairstyle requires time for styling and a few amazing products, so it’s definitely not a low maintenance style,” she adds.

For styling, Wolf says to try Oribe Volumista Mist for volume. “Spray from your roots to the ends prior to blow drying with a small to medium round brush. Follow up with Oribe Superfine Strong Hairspray to lock in hold, then lightly mist with Oribe Shine Reflecting Spray for a glossy, glass-like finish. Voíla!”

#27: Deathhawk Hairstyle for Punk Girls

Opt for a teased punk mohawk called “Deathhawk” hairstyle for punk girls. It was handcrafted by salon owner and stylist Crystal Terror of San Antonio, TX. “Punk hairstyles for long hair like this, aren’t just a fashion statement, they’re super punk rock.”

The whole hawk was sprayed with Bedhead Masterpieces. Ask your stylist about hair gel that’s just as effective a for long-lasting hold.”

Women with medium to coarse textured hair are the easiest to tease into a wider mohawk style like the Deathhawk. It’s not a good idea to style fine/thinning hair like this. Most face shapes work with this style, too.
