Clémence Poésy for Glamour UK February 2020
Clémence Poésy looks absolutely lovely in the February 2020 issue of Glamour UK. The 29-year-old actress, model and muse poses gracefully in fresh, uber-cute pastels and delicate, girlie silhouettes. Clémence sits down for a chat with the magazine and dishes on her fashion approach, her favourite designers, and the difference between the Parisian and British style.
“I think I dress like a boy,” she laughs. “But it’s fun. I like it when a jumper is too short or when a shirt is too big and the colour has faded,” the French actress says. Clémence admits she loves fashion. In fact, she is a front-row regular at Fashion Week. “I do love fashion. But I generally wear the same old things,” Poésy told Glamour. Well, we all agree that the actress is the perfect expression of that unique French charm and elegance.
Clémence is mostly known for her roles as Fleur Delacour in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series, as Chloë in ‘In Bruges’, and as Rana in ‘127 Hours’, but also for her short role as Eva Coupeau on ‘Gossip Girl’. Her latest project is a BBC adaptation of Sebastian Faulks’ best-selling novel, ‘Birdsong’, in which she stars opposite Eddie Redmayne. “I feel honoured to be part of such an iconic book. And I loved the costumes. They’re so beautiful and fragile,” she told the magazine speaking in particular of one dress from 1910. “It fitted perfectly, thanks to the corset. I know it sounds strange, but it helped me get into character. At first, I thought I’d never be able to act in it as it’s so restrictive, but then I asked them to pull it tighter every morning,” the beautiful actress says.
What about her dear designers? Clémence reveals in the interview with Glamour UK that she loves Nina Ricci and Chanel, but she is also a fan of British style. “Parisians have a way of co-ordinating an outfit carefully and making it look effortless,” she says. “But Brits are more playful,” the actress explains.
