Chloe at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2020
Sophisticated, romantic and natural are the hallmarks of Chloé at Paris Fashion Week. Statement silhouettes and a chic simplicity characterizing the label’s designs. Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Hannah MacGibbon and Clare Waight Keller are the designers that brought their own vision to Chloé without forgetting the house’s heritage. Now, we highly expect to see what Waight Keller has prepared for the upcoming fall 2020 collection that will be showcased at Paris Fashion Week.
“Natural, very effortless, and quite joyful. It’s not nostalgic, but there’s something there that makes you smile,” Waight Keller said about the spirit of the Chloé woman. Her Chloe spring 2020 collection for the brand was utterly pretty and feminine yet with a slightly boyish feeling featuring pleats, flowing dresses, full trousers, shirts, shorts, floral embroideries, and delicious colors.
For the Chloé pre-fall 2020 collection the designer had as main source of inspiration the photos of Garry Winogrand. “Women used to wear clothes for far longer, so it wasn’t so specific or one-dimensional or focused on the look of a particular season. You might see a check miniskirt of the sixties worn with something from the seventies, and that kind of effortless elegance is also very Parisian in a way,” Waight Keller explained. As on her Chloe fall 2020 collection, the designer said that. “It’s about a British girl falling for the classic elements of Paris . . . pearls, lace.” The line featured slim-cut trousers, button-down blouses, and dresses, yet it was Waight Keller’s uber-chic outerwear drawing all the attention. Well, for the Chloé spring 2020 collection, the designer looked at some transcripts of Gaby Aghion, the founder of the brand. “I actually started by looking at transcripts of Gaby’s talks with us. She said something that really struck me: ‘I never explain anything. I live my life, and I live the life I love,’” Claire Waight Keller revealed. The label’s fall 2020 collection will be showcased at Paris Fashion Week on March 3. So, make sure you check back for updates!
