Just as expected, the Emporio Armani fall 2020 collection presented at Milan Fashion Week this past weekend took the audience present at the show’s debut on an exciting journey through past trends, more specifically through the 20s and 30s, a period when women started to become more and more fashion-oriented.
Polished to perfection, the new Emporio Armani collection put on display classic, simple lines as well as intricate, artistically layered ensembles that demonstrated the brand’s ability to adapt to the needs of the wearer, so the fact that an array of garments (over 70 outfits were featured in the show) were revealed in the lineup shouldn’t come as a surprise for Armani connoisseurs as the brand’s designer has never been shy on showering his fans with an abundance of stylish designs.
Now, the fact that vintage has been the oasis for inspiration for the majority of the designers showing their fall 2020 fashion creations in various parts of the world, including Milan Fashion Week 2020, is no longer a secret, but if you’re looking for vintage styles that seem torn out of a vintage magazine and adapted to the contemporary world just through subtle details such as color and layering, the Emporio Armani fall 2020 collection is definitely the collection to focus on for inspiration.
The Emporio Armani fall 2020 collection made its debut with three models wearing variations of the same style, a satin-finish dress paired with an interesting feathered quail coat and a chic vintage hat, combo that set the tone for the rest of the collection. The designer’s impeccable tailoring was next made visible by masculine-inspired pant suit separates that looked oh-so-chic due to the cuts and the lovely assorted colors used in the creation process.
Although most of the collection was kept clean, the soft lines revealed by chic separates, cool blazers, comfy cardigans, appropriately cut dresses and skirts, Giorgio Armani didn’t pass on the opportunity to add some drama into his collection through the use of layering, color blacking as well as innovative cuts that showed off the faultless craftsmanship of the Armani Atelier. Draping effects and some Indian inspired elements added the romanticism and the innovative-elements to the lineup, thus spicing up the theme of the collection and making it so much more fun. Apparently, to lighten-up the mood was the designer’s goal for the upcoming season, reason for which he used lighter colors and softer fabrics.
Fun yet totally vintage, the new collection signed Emporio Armani for fall 2020 is definitely worth checking out, so browse through the lineup and tell us if the designer’s vintage take on fashion suits your style!
