Ariel Winter has some volume and height in her half up “do”, this is accomplished by making a one to two inch side part, leaving a bit of bang loose and pulling back the crown only, and “bumping” it up a bit before securing in back just below crown. Finish by curling ends.
Jessica Simpson shows that even simple is beautiful, by pulling section approximately the width from the outer corner of one eye to the other, brushing it back and securing just in front of crown with a barrette.
For Charlotte Jackson’s ultra feminine look, make a two-inch deep side part, then make a vertical part on either side that extends from the side part to just behind the ears. French braid these sections, securing ends of braids in center in back being sure to bump crown up slightly for volume. Finish by curling ends of hair.
Even a shoulder length bob, such as Elizabeth Banks’ can be styled in a half up “do” by pulling the top layer-or long bang back to crown and securing with a pretty barrette.
Long hair, such as Alesha Dixon’s is ultra chic in a deep side part, which has been French braided on one side, and gathered over the shoulder on the other side, and left to fall in a lovely cascade of curls.
Gina Gershon’s half up do is suggestive of the 1960s, with the crown pulled back and secured high on the head-creating volume and height. Leave the back long, with bangs loose, and side swept for softness.
