The No Diet Tips To Healthy Eating
How many diets have you tried? And lets be honest, how many of those diets have worked?
What happened when you went off the diet? Do you want to constantly live on a diet? My guess is that your answers are: a lot, you gained the weight back, and absolutely not!
What would you say if I told you that you can achieve your ultimate health goals without following a specific diet?
While diets may jump start your weight loss initially, long term they are not sustainable. No one wants to live restricting calories and feeling deprived. After all, once you go off the diet the weight usually comes back on, often ‘with interest’, and we fall back into our old ways.
What is the point of dieting then?
It is time to stop the unhealthy yo-yo dieting and get back to the basics. To be healthy and maintain a healthy weight you need to live a healthy lifestyle.
Sorry to break it to you but there is no fad diet or quick fix pill.
The first step to a healthy lifestyle is to take a look deep inside yourself and think about what your health goals are.
Then you will need to come up with a plan on how you will achieve your health goals. Keep it simple, think about small changes you can make that will stick over time so that you develop healthy habits.

It can be a friend, relative, personal trainer or health coach – whatever works for you.
Life is crazy we are all busy you will need to make eating healthy whole foods a priority. There is no better time than today to start your healthy journey.
Here are some tips to healthy eating you can use to get you started.
• Take a few minutes and come up with a plan for meals for the week.
• Map out snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner and make a grocery list. By planning each meal you will feel less stressed and overwhelmed about eating healthy.
Food shopping tips
• Avoid shopping when you are hungry: this may lead to overspending and buying more than you need.
• While shopping stick to the perimeter of the store: the perimeter of the store usually consists of fresh fruits and vegetables and is where you are most likely to find the food in its original state.
• Avoid purchasing processed foods whenever possible: processed foods are anything in a bag, package, bottle or can with more than five ingredients.
• Avoid anything that has a health claim on the package: this is usually a marketing ploy to convince you in some way that it is a healthy food.
• Read labels! If you can’t pronounce it or you don’t know what it is, do you really want to eat it? Often there is hidden sugar, artificial flavors and chemicals in processed food which you want to avoid.
• Finally avoid “low fat” or “diet foods”: these tend to be more processed, full of artificial sweeteners and chemicals that our bodies just don’t know what to do with.
• Pick a Food Prep day.
OK, so now you have a list of meals you are making and you have the food. Wash all the fruit and vegetables and prepare them for the week. This is also a good day to cook your grains such as brown rice or quinoa or pop some sweet potatoes in the oven. Food preparation is a huge time saver to make dinners fast and easy during your busy week.
• Make it easy on yourself.
Think ‘cook once, eat twice’. By this, I mean cook enough so that you have leftovers to eat for lunch. Lunch problem solved no need to order takeout at the office.
Meal planning and food preparation may seem like a lot of work at first. If you stick with it they will become healthy habits. In the end you feel less stressed knowing that you have a healthy eating plan in place.
The question, “What will I eat?” will be answered with a little preparation and planning on your end.
Skip the diet. Stress less by implementing some simple actions steps that will set you up for success for leading a healthy lifestyle.
By planning ahead, making healthier food choices and cooking your own delicious healthy food you will start feeling great in no time!
