We have only recently discovered this new Urban Outfitters Home catalog 2020 and we had to show it to you guys as well. For their shoot, made by The Selby and Alex Da Corte, the brand took over the apartments of some really ‘kind souls’. From industrial and modern to feminine and bohemian, you have the chance to draw your inspiration for a seriously cool home update. Marrakech swing chairs, modern ottomans, convertible sofas, farmstead stools, bookshelves, consoles, wood turntables, lamps, record racks, rugs, and curtains, there are loads of goodies where to choose from.

“It was really refreshing to see how open everyone was to the activities we did in their homes (hanging Doritios on the wall, tapping forks against chandeliers and cats, watering plants with soda, and wreaking havoc with tennis balls for example). I think everyone realized that the activities are about invention and redefining how we live in those spaces, so it got strange and funny,” says Da Corte, who created all the awesome installations and videos for the label’s Home Catalog.

Urban Outiftters also sat down for a chat with the beautiful people who let them into their apartments for the brand’s Home Catalog shoot. Hannah is the co-owner of a vintage store and a lingerie line, and she likes to paint. “My main focus is on color, and I’m really into textures as well – it’s quite basic stuff really. I don’t feel the same need to create with my art the way I used to, now I just do it because it’s such a pleasure,” she says. As on her favorite time period in terms of interiors, Hannah reveals that, “I really love Victorian chaos, when they had all the plants and the Persian rugs. And Victorian greenhouses were the coolest.”

Siri is a writer and a stylist. Her favorite flower? “So many! I love beautiful English garden roses, trumpet lilies, honeysuckle and lily of the valley. Pretty much anything that smells great,” Siri confesses.

Michael and Thane are two brothers who are also featured in Urban Outfitters’ home catalog 2020. Michael has a lot of origami cranes laying around in their apartment. “Making and giving origami has become something of a Lund brother tradition. The cranes started with a cousin of ours getting married to a fine Japanese fella. They were going to do the whole ‘thousand cranes for happiness’ thing, so I asked them how I could help, and they said ‘oh well, we’re just going to do five hundred actually.’ And I said ‘That’s ridiculous!’ Nobody gets just half a life of happiness,” he explains.

Melise has a shop called Rosebud Vintage. Travis is a composer. Melise admits she collects everything. “Everything. My newest thing is hosiery. I started wearing fully fashioned stockings with garters, and then I bought myself a pair with rhinestones up the front, and just recently I received a box of three pairs of 1930’s fishnets. They’re such an amazing thing to collect because a) it’s total nonsense, why do you need them? And b) they take up almost no space at all. I tend to collect beautiful things, and the less sense they make in my life, the more I want them,” she says.

Well, one can easily see the amazing painting in their living room. “This is a piece that my father did, about 30 years ago. He would use pieces of maps, and then reproduce it in a painting,” Travis told Siri Thorson. As on his collection of musical instruments, he says that, “It’s strange, but I somehow tend to manifest instruments wherever I go. That guitar right there, somebody gave to me on the street. It had maybe two strings on it, it was really really dirty, but I took it and fixed it up, and it’s actually a pretty nice guitar. Same thing for another one of my guitars, I worked at this restaurant briefly in Williamsburg, and a customer came in and gave it to me.”
