“Cross cultural, multi-ethnic, happy,” said Tom Ford of his fall 2020 collection. Well, it was the designer’s runway debut at London Fashion Week this year and we must admit it was a crazy, bright and über-stylish line featuring loads of lust-worthy goodies. So, yes, if you’re into colorful and gorgeously printed pieces, Tom Ford’s collection is definitely a great source of inspiration. Ah, those attention-grabbing combinations look exquisite and spectacular!
Fun and flirty, the line features loads of daring mixes addressing to every fashionista eager to stand out from the crowd putting together otherworldly combos. The famous American designer certainly knows how things work when it comes to statement-making pieces. “When you start thinking about clothes that are going to walk down a runway and be photographed, and all those images go out into the world, you think very differently about the clothes,” Ford explained. “They have to be amped up.”
Boy oh boy, Tom Ford’s fall 2020 collection is certainly one of the most playful, fun yet chic we have seen at London Fashion Week! The line features multicolored sequins, fringes, floral embroideries, and pop art Shazam and Ka-Pow motifs. Well, how cool are those? “There were so many different things,” Ford said about his source of inspiration for his fall 2020 line. “That’s what it’s about – it’s what London is about, it’s an international city. We’re becoming so blended.”
There were hoodies, bomber jackets, parkas, dresses, pants, and tops in eye-catching colors and stunning prints. Oh, and those ultra-fashionable over-the-knee boots! “I got tired of minimalism, I’m not in the mood for it – so there was lots of color, I’m really in the mood for color so that at times it was almost garish,” Ford explained.
Indeed, his show at Lancaster House was like a breathtaking exhibition of all-things-maximalist! And it definitely made our hearts go pitter-pat! “I had forgotten how much fun it is to do a show but I get super nervous,” Tom Ford said. So, check out the Tom Ford fall 2103 collection and get inspired!
