The 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 6, 2020 brought into the spotlight some of the industry’s most talented performers and offered plenty of memorable red carpet moments. The ACM Awards 2020 fashion choices proved quite diverse and, while not all the choices the stars presented at the event managed to convince stylists, there were plenty of thought provoking options that gave us an interesting glimpse to some of the new season’s coolest style trends. We’ll let you be the judge when it comes to the best and worst dressed at the ACM 2020:
Miranda Lambert graced the 2020 ACM Awards red carpet in a stunning crystal-adorned Randi Rahm floor length gown with a deep neckline. The mermaid dress was accessorized with big earrings and a simple box clutch.
Colombian beauty Shakira also managed to steal the limelight at the ACM 2020 Awards with her fashion choice. The star opted for a long sleeved form fitting Zuhair Murad gown with bold cutouts which seemed inspired by a spider’s web. Though the dress beautifully highlighted the star’s curves, not everyone was a fan of the abstract motifs it featured.
Country music’s best paid artist, Taylor Swift, chose to combine simplicity, sexiness and trends and walked on the red carpet in a chic black and white J. Mendel ensemble accessorized with modern Casadei sandals, a M2MAtelier clutch, Jennifer Fisher earrings and rings, and a Marina B. bracelet.
Carrie Underwood opted for a sleeveless Oscar de la Renta gown with silver fringe details. Jimmy Choo shoes, a simple white clutch and a David Yurman jewelry completed her look.
One of the most head-turning ACM Awards 2020 style choices was Olivia Munn’s daring high slit Reem Acra dress with a plunging neckline that drew attention to the star’s best features. Glittery Christian Louboutin shoes and discreet Neil Lane jewelry proved the perfect finishing touches for the star’s ravishing look.
Former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler looked absolutely flawless in a strapless lavender floor-sweeping gown signed by Romona Keveza.
Faith Hill rocked a light blue long sleeved Saint Laurent dress with a daring neckline on the 2020 ACM Awards red carpet. To complete her ensemble for the night, the star chose a black clutch and simple Martin Katz jewelry.
Kacey Musgraves also opted for a blue gown for the event. She chose to accessorize her look with a matching belt and back sandals with bold silver high heels.
Another stunner was Cassadee Pope who picked a gorgeous red draped floor gown. The dress complemented her figure beautifully and the discreet jewelry added a classy allure to her feminine look.
There were also stars who prefer rocking prints rather than the tried and tested monochrome gowns. Jamie Lynn Spears rocked a short dress featuring on trend abstract motifs which she paired with ultra sexy pointy pumps.
Shawna Thompson chose a feminine short sleeved gown featuring big poppy flower motifs. While she looked extremely happy with her look, stylists seem to think she could have made a much better choice.
