Georgia May Jagger Named New Face of Sunglass Hut
She appeared in ads for Rimmel makeup, Hudson Jeans and H&M, and was featured in editorials for famous magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D and Numero. This time, beautiful Georgia May Jagger has been announced as the new face of Sunglass Hat, world’s leading authority on premium sun-wear. The 20-year-old model, the youngest daughter of The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and 70’s supermodel Jerry Hall, will front the brand’s campaigns starting this September.
“With her history and her background, but also her very cool, simple and playful relationship with fashion, we believed [Jagger] could be perfect [for Sunglass Hut]. We talked to her about the project and we got her extremely excited about the category, about the Sunglass Hut brand, and we decided to go ahead with this partnership,” chief executive officer Fabio D’Angelantonio told WWD.
The Sunglass Hut campaign is photographed by Daniel Jackson at a North London studio and it features Georgia May Jagger looking absolutely fab with backcombed hair, vampy, bright red lips and super-fab sunglasses from brands such as Tiffany & Co., Versace and Vogue Eyewear.
“I think everyone knows Sunglass Hut — they’re in every airport. I’m always buying new Ray-Bans,” Georgia told WWD. It seems that Jagger’s favorite lenses include “younger styles” by Persol and Ray-Ban in bright colors. I love the folding ones too, as they don’t break.” She then added that, “I’m still quite young, so I don’t think I have a definite way that I dress, it kind of changes every day. It depends on how I feel and how adventurous I feel. I just like to have fun.”
The gorgeous gap-toothed model also revealed in the interview with WWD that she would love to go behind the lens herself. “I’m planning to work for a bunch of different people, probably in fashion [photography] but I’m not sure,” she confessed. “I’d like to do a project like taking pictures of other models.”
Well, besides Sunglass Hut, Georgia May Jagger has also been chosen as the new ambassador of Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon‘s Material Girl clothing line. “To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing,” the lovely model said in a statement. “I’ve always admired Madonna’s style and I’m thrilled to be working with them.”
