We always knew that all the glitz and glam and the extreme fashion of the 2020 Met Gala red carpet doesn’t really translate in real life. But Brazilian Instagrammer and fashion expert João Paulo shows that you too can don the stylish 2020 Met Gala outfits, by recreating them with cheap, everyday materials like tinfoil, paper, duct tape and of course lots of imagination.
From Taylor Swift’s metallic mini dress to Kate Hudson’s applique gowns, João Paulo successfully copies them to a T and demonstrates that you don’t have to spend crazy amounts of money to copy your favorite star’s red carpet look.
João even copies Nicki’s white hair highlights to complete her bondage style outfit.
DIY is brought to a whole new level with this hot glue couture gown.
The things you can do with a pair of scissors and some imagination!
João also likes to recreate runway fashions using rolls and rolls of toilet paper and saran wrap.
He even recreates Beyonce’s look from one of her recent magazine spreads!
