Jason Wu Resort 2020 Collection
The new Jason Wu resort 2020 collection is an interesting reflection on the tropical prints trend with plenty of gorgeous elegant ensembles with an eclectic twist. The label is known for its modern yet elegant approach and these elements are definitely found in the new line, yet in a slightly more relaxed manner compared to his previous lines, the fall 2020 line being the most recent example. This time, the label has left aside its preference for monochrome pieces and opts for riskier (read bolder) alternatives.
Jason Wu’s 2020 line brings an interesting mix of versatile pieces and edgy options. The designer focused on texture and proportions rather than on color and brought a mix of feminine and masculine accents which are beautifully combined for a spectacular look every single time. The label revealed once again a multitude of high waist mid-length skirts, simple printed dresses, silk trousers and plenty of fab jackets and coats for an interesting vibe. Even denim made its way into the new line, yet not in the way one might expect. No, not fab splurge-worthy jeans, but cute relaxed fit dresses which can make one instantly stand out.
Instead of busy combos, the label puts emphasis on clean ensembles which feel effortless despite their refined allure. Though the new looks from the new Jason Wu cruise 2020 collection wouldn’t fit the classic definition in the tried and tested sense, most pieces, taken individually would definitely prove worthwhile investments. As stated, the color palette is rather restricted but a few colorful accents definitely bring a fresh vibe to the looks. Green tones are a quite obvious choice given the tropical inspiration, but among the myriad of black, white and neutral tones, these sure feel like a refreshing choice.
The new Jason Wu resort 2020 keeps a clean, minimalistic approach when it comes to eveningwear. The dresses are feminine, long and lean, much like the choices we saw recently in Donna Karan’s resort 2020 collection. An interesting option in the department are sheer dresses, particular those that are sheer in the leg area and that have been spotted on the red carpet several times this year. Accessory-wise, however, there are no big surprises as the new options are sexy, classy and elegant as always.
