Michael Bublé, who announced his engagement to Luisana Lopilato in January this year, revealed the wedding date in an interview for ET Canada. The singer jokingly said that at first they wanted to get married on April 29, but feared that the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton might overshadow his nuptials. “I was going to do it on the 29th but I figured I wouldn’t get any press”, he said on the Today Show.
Michael and Luisana have been dating since 2020 and now they have finally settled the long-awaited date on April 6, next year. Bublé also said that they plan having two weddings, one in Argentina and another one in Vancouver. “We are doing one in Argentina and that’s for her close family, and then we are doing one in Vancouver”, Michael explained.
After the two ceremonies, the couple will spend their honeymoon in a special, unique way, in Africa, participating to a series of charity works. Michael also confessed that Luisana thought he was gay the first time they met. “I don’t speak Spanish and she had no English. But the guy did so I just spoke to him. I was a bit nervous because of how beautiful she was. I later found out she was on the phone to her mother the whole time saying, ‘Buble’s gay. He’s hitting on my friend.”
