Lulu & Co Spring/Summer 2020 Lookbook

Boy oh boy, we are so excited to present you the latest Lulu & Co collection, a beautiful and harmonious mixture of prints and colors, perfect to add instant attitude to your wardrobe! It definitely caught us hook! The Lulu & Co brand is developed as a series of limited edition ‘edits’ and eclectic collaborations with the best of London’s design talent, as chosen by Lulu Kennedy.

The fourth edit from Lulu & Co includes design stars Peter Jensen and Markus Lupfer and menswear designer Christopher Shannon who has branched out into womenswear exclusively for Lulu & Co. Moreover, Lulu & Co has also created an in-house line called ‘Lulu & Co Studio’, which this season sees luxe cocktail dresses worn with raffia trimmed t-shirts, playful mini dresses and skirts featuring Mexican sunsets, Hawaiian hula girls and tropical fruit prints. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Lulu Kennedy is frequently called fashion’s “fairy godmother” due to her support given to young, talented designers. “I’m just a foster mum. The designers are with me for one or two seasons and then I let them go. I can’t grant them wishes. They make things happen. They’ve got to put the work in,” she told The Guardian. However, it seems that since launching Fashion East ten years ago, the platform managed to boost the careers of some big names in London from Saunders and Holland to Holly Fulton and Richard Nicoll, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Ilincic and James Long.

Speaking about the quality she looks for when choosing who will show at Fashion East, Kennedy told dazeddigital.com that it is not such a difficult process. “You just know it when you see it. You don’t even need to go out looking for it – it jumps out at you. It’s a strength of conviction and belief in who you are as a designer. We can usually see past people’s mistakes to see their spark and you can just nurture that. I think it’s a very easy process,” she said.
