Olivia Palermo always manages to pull off interesting, fresh, sophisticated and eye-catching looks. Besides, a flawless smile and gorgeous tresses constantly round up her refined and chic appearances. The 25-year-old American socialite is now the new ambassador of the Spanish jewelry brand Carrera y Carrera for their collection called ‘Mediterráneo’.
The shooting for the campaign took place in a beautiful place, Ibiza, an island with stunning views surrounded by the Mediterranean sea. Olivia was photographed by Santiago Esteban, styled by Isabel Ottino, while her makeup and hair were made by Víctor Álvarez. She wears glamorous pieces from this special collection that has as main source of inspiration the sea and its vitality and magical powers. By creating ‘Mediterráneo’, Carrera y Carrera wanted to bring a tribute to today’s woman. “Just like the goddesses and nymphs, living and exploring the sea of the Spanish coast, full of passion and vitality.” The collection features rings, earrings and necklaces in yellow and white gold with diamonds, all having mythological names like Calypso, Aphrodite, Actaea, and Athena.
Carrera y Carrera has its roots as jewelry brand back in 1970. Soon, the Spanish label became famous worldwide due to their amazing creations, unique designs and the incredible mastering of details. As a proof to their success, their innovative pieces were featured in numerous glossy magazines such as Vanity Fair, L’Officiel, Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and InStyle.
For their summer collection 2020, the brand has chosen one of the most popular style icons of the moment to represent their dazzling items. Olivia Palermo perfectly embodies the simplicity, yet extreme elegance of the pieces in ‘Mediterráneo’. This is not her first collaboration with a Spanish label. Last year, the beautiful fashionista starred alongside her model boyfriend Johannes Huebl in the ad campaign for Mango’s Fall/Winter 2020 line.
Speaking about fashion and the way she decides what to wear every day, Olivia Palermo told in an interview with ‘Vogue’ that, “When I get dressed in the morning, I think about versatility – and I’d be lying if I said the weather wasn’t a factor. I love layered looks using vests or jackets, but sometimes I feel my best in a great pair of jeans and a fabulous T-shirt.”
