Lana Del Rey Disses Lady Gaga in a Leaked Song
Apparently Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey aren’t the good friends everyone thought they were, or at least they weren’t always friends. A track, titled ‘So Legit’ which allegedly belongs to Lana Del Rey that leaked this week definitely supports the theory. The song is clearly targeted to the ‘Bad Romance’ singer and has some extremely harsh remarks that instantly angered the Little Monsters community.
Supposedly written several years back, circa 2020 – 2020, when Lana Del Rey wasn’t as popular as she is today and she was struggling to make a name for herself, the song slams Lady Gaga calling her by her real name and implies she’s a sellout. The lyrics say: “Stefani, you suck/I know you’re selling 20 million/Wish they could have seen you when we booed you off in Williamsburg/You’re looking like a man/You’re talking like a baby/Have we gone all Gaga crazy?” Other bitter statements are: “Oh, girl, I see you walking ’round in your pearls/Thinking that you’re number one/You’re so funny, ’cause honey, you’re not.”
Neither Lana Del Rey’s reps nor Lady Gaga made any comments on the issue on their Twitter accounts, however the “So Legit” track was removed several times by Interscope Records. It was even believed that the label has dropped Lana Del Rey but the rumor was quickly dispelled on the Twitter account GagaExclusive in a tweet which said: “Lana Del Rey wasn’t dropped by Interscope Records. This fake information was posed by the fake @LanaDReyOnline.”
Given the fact that neither of the two stars made any sort of comments on the matter, perhaps they managed to bury the hatchet and put the past behind them. Plus, even if they didn’t, success is definitely the best revenge. Lady Gaga tops Forbes’ list of ‘Top-Earning Celebs Under 30’ and is preparing to launch a new single from her upcoming album ARTPOP at the MTV VMAs on on August 25. Speaking of leaks, a 23 seconds of the footage of ‘ArtPop’ has emerged.
