With a variety of fresh and nutritionally dense ingredients or, on the contrary, with a few flavor enhancers for the maximum taste satisfaction there’s no shortage of recipes for every skill and taste. Experiment with some of the following recipes when in need of a fabulous cooling sweet treat. Here’s what you will need:
Blueberry Ice Cream
• 4 cups blueberries • 1½ cups sugar • 3 tbsp orange juice • 4 cups light cream • 1 tsp vanilla
Begin by crushing the blueberries and then add the sugar and the orange juice in a bowl. Mix everything well and then put everything in a saucepan and cook the mixture for 5 minutes on medium flame. Let the mixture cool down and then bend everything into a smooth puree. Add the cream and vanilla gradually and then transfer everything to an ice cream maker and follow the directions accordingly. Add your favorite toppings and serve everything cold.
Coconut Pineapple Popsicle
• 1-1/2 cups cold 2% milk • 1 can (8 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple • 1 can (6 ounces) unsweetened pineapple juice • 1 teaspoon coconut extract • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix • 14 plastic cups or Popsicle molds (3 ounces each) • 14 Popsicle sticks
Blend the milk, pineapple, pineapple juice and coconut extract until smooth. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and whisk in the pudding mix for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure that the composition is homogenous and then distribute it evenly in cups or molds, placing the sticks as well. Put everything in the refrigerator.
Simple Vanilla/Chocolate Ice Cream
• 2 cups cold heavy cream • 1 cup cold whole milk • 3/4 cup sugar • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
All you need to do is to combine all the ingredients and mix until all the sugar is dissolved. Then, put everything in the ice cream maker and proceed according to directions. If you are in the mood for chocolate ice cream instead, all you need to do is to add 1/2 cup chocolate syrup to this quick and beyond easy recipe. If you like firm ice cream, you should consider placing the mixture in the refrigerator for about two hours.
