Heartburn is the burning sensation you feel in the center of the chest. This is also called as acid indigestion and gastro esophageal reflux. This hormone nurtures the womb of the pregnant woman and the baby present inside it. Apart from this, this hormone acts as a muscle relaxant. This pressure causes the pushing back of food contents to the food pipe causing heartburn and indigestion. - Avoid wearing any tight fitting clothes around your waist and belly portion. Always wear loose fitting clothes during pregnancy.
- Smoking increases the acidity inside the stomach and acidity in turn causes the heart burn. Hence avoid smoking.
- Antacids help in reliving heart burn. Consult your doctor before taking any antacid pills.
- A short leisure walk after your meals helps in proper digestion.
